Nice post. It's too easy to have a blast at folks with opinions. It's an enlightening change to read a blog that says, "I am not going to blast" - and even then you say it in a selfless way.

Good on you.

I read the *entire* article before reading the comments this time! And I wasn't even trying to do that just so I could say I did.

The thing I love most about LA is that, having moved around every few years growing up, I never really had much concept of "home" or a "hometown", and most places in the universe (even in places as big as Philadelphia, social circles are very clique-y and everyone has known everybody else at least from high school). But here so many people *came* here in their early/mid-twenties, so not only is everybody else on the same page I've always been on, but it makes it feel like I'm home. I've lived here almost two years now and it really does feel like home, more and faster than anywhere I've ever been.

Although I just read *the best* quote from Neil Simon:

"When it's 100 in New York, it's 72 in Los Angeles. When it's 20 in New York, it's 72 in Los Angeles. However, there are six million interesting people in New York - and 72 in Los Angeles."

Love that photo. No wonder you love dry goods so much. It's in the blood.

And here...here... we love LA!

Hey, you know something, going back to your first couple of paragraphs: Now, that I've been away. I miss it. I thought it was the people that made me leave. The dickheads I worked with (producers, moguls, etc.) But I really miss Los Angeles. More than anything I miss my friends. I made some great friends. I don't have that hear. People are more open to being liked. We talk about coming back all of the time. Collen, thanks for being one of those great people in my life. Thanks, LA!
