Long time stalker, first time comment :)
I miss you already. SXSW was one of the most fun things i’ve ever done in my life so far. It was a while ago but for primo industry whoring, the bar at the four seasons was spectacular! It sounds like a perfect place for you to be a single mingle gal. AND the music is Fabu!!! Have an awesome time - can’t wait to hear the details.

Thanks for the kind words, and for the suggestion. That is a super-awesome hack. I’m going to pretend you’re my co-hostess, temporarily off in the kitchen to grab another sheet of canapés for our guests. It will make me feel more secure!

Hey Colleen, just got your newsletter…how do you manage to write a blog AND a newsletter?

Anyway, I’m enjoying both. I’m an introvert too and the idea of circulating at a conference of complete strangers is daunting. But adding on to the idea of bringing something to the party, I heard this tip: pretend it’s your party and YOU”RE the hostess. :-)
