There are probably a lot of survivors of Gloomy Manor, aren't there? And worse, of course.

Thank *you* for your kind words. I like what that Dalai Lama does to a joint.

Me, too. And I spent quite a few years in my own Gloomy Manor--we should have a club or something. Thank you, again, for your insights. I am so glad you're in the world and that I found your blog. (this may sound super mushy, but we've just had several days of the Dalai Lama in town and the air is kind and soft right now)

Andrew - Thanks. I know I'm not the only one, either, but it can feel that way, especially when I'm out here, blogging this stuff.

Angie - Well, it does beat the alternative :-)

"If you’re climbing and it seems you’ve gained no ground…if you’re stretching and it feels like you’ll never reach…if you’re pulling on what feels like an endless rope…hang on, hang on, hang on"

Wise words wouldn't you say!!

"I’m also going to just STOP! randomly and check in to see what’s the happ."

Not a bad idea ... just stopping every so often to take a look around, see where and when you are. It's easy to forget to do that.

FWIW - we all suck at a couple of things and the paradox is that the more willing we are to admit it, the more capable we're likely to be. It's nice to see someone who's so honest about it though. It's like being back in school, having trouble in a class, looking around and being relieved you're not the only one ... :-) ...

Something in the air. Maybe sun in Aries. That is one messed up sign, boy howdy. Interesting what's popping up. As in, "a lot." I'm like a goddamned bag of microwave popcorn.

Wow--this is, I kid you not, the fourth blog that I've read this morning that talked about sucking (and they all referred to sucking at life)!

I am really looking forward to this 21 day salute as I, too, would like to figure out how to stop sucking...but don't let this put any pressure on you for the leaving town part. Who says you can't do the last few days after you get back? :)
