Frrrrriday Rrrrroundup! #52

An end-of-weekly roundup collecting fffffive of the fffffoxiest things I fffffind stumbling around the web. More about the genesis here. Every dang Friday Round-Up here, you procrastinating slacker!

No matter how you felt about Roseanne during her heyday, you’ll find her behind-the-scenes story of what it was like to fight the Hollywood machine fascinating.  [Facebook-ed]

A wildly inspiring commencement speech that addresses the crazy world of change any aspiring creative artist is graduating into. [delicious-ed]

If this man’s story doesn’t make you feel like you can accomplish anything you set your mind to, I honestly don’t know what will. [Tweeted, via Brian Clark].

A lucid and gracious discussion about inheritance that I wish my family had read.  [Google Reader-ed]

Thanks Colleen! Love Robert Krulwich…always find YOUR blog inspiring too! Have a great weekend.

I adore your Friday roundups, and always schedule a full hour to read them … I know I’m going to be following all the links.

This time, Roseanne Barr, never really pretty, has turned herself into an out-and-out goddess: look upon that face and tell me there’s not a very real person behind it. I subscribed to Krulwich faster than you can say “Krulwich,” and the commencement speech! “Just hold on… and keep loving what you love… and you’ll see. In the end, they’ll let you stay.” I’m passing that one on to a younger friend who is having trouble getting his business off the ground.

Now, excuse me; there are a couple of links left to follow, and my hour is ticking away …

Now that 2+ hours have gone by when realizing there is work to do, I must say, Colleen, that your posts drag me in. It’s hard to stop reading what you wrote and reading the links you added. The Roseanne article left me angry for a second but determined to believe that the rip-off artists are soon to sink. This can’t keep happening in without some consequences (did I spell that right). I don’t remember how Jon Morrow came up and Copy Blogger, and I still have to read the article by Nathan, and breakfast is still waiting. Where are you going with all this content? I got to get to work. Or can I dream of writing my thoughts as they flow out of me without rewriting and be able to support myself and my loved ones?

Thank you Colleen. It’s an honor to be included. Damn, those boys are wonderful. But what’s with the log furniture:).?

I read Jon Morrow’s blog earlier in the week, I thought it was amazing – and given the number of comments it attracted so did many others! Great that you included it in your Frrrrriday Rrrrroundup.
