finding the communicatrix

peekaboo!

First, let’s get the old-school stuff out of the way.

If you want to email me (I love email!), send to:

colleen {at} communicatrix {dot} com

I read ALL of my email (I love email!) and answer as much of it as I can. Turnaround on work-inquiry emails is about a week, and I’m dealing with an enormous backlog. (But I did it for the children, so please take that into account before you get huffy or otherwise take it personally.)

If you want to write me an actual note (I really love actual notes!!), send it to:

137 N. Larchmont Blvd. #604, Los Angeles, CA 90004

If you want to talk to me on the phone:

Good luck.

As my dearest friends, colleagues, and yes, even my clients will tell you, I suck at the phone. But if that’s your particular communications tool of choice, you can (323) 843-4395 and leave a message; magic pixies will email me a hilarious translation of your message, and I will (most likely) call you back to find out what you asked me. Eventually. But emailing me directly will always get you a faster response.

Hang out online? Me, too!

Except for Facebook, I’m “communicatrix” ubiquitously, meaning if you sign onto a service and want to connect with me, check that first. I do have policies on social media connection and I think the world would be a saner place if everyone did.

Places I write regularly:

  • Here! (duh), where I post—well, irregularly of late. The occasional long-ish essay or book review on Monday or Tuesday, or a video post (usually on a Wednesday), or, most often, a roundup of the best links I’ve posted elsewhere on Friday.
  • communicatrix | focuses, a monthly, in-depth look at some aspect of buffing out your communication skills so you can get the word of you out there more efficiently. A list of previous issues is here, but the actual archives were destroyed when pharma-crapbots hacked my site. Call your congressperson, and God Bless the Free Internets (grumble, grumble).
  • LACasting.com, where I write a monthly column about marketing for actors, the content you can almost certainly apply to your own field of endeavor. The newsletter goes out to members, but you can read the issues here as I put them up.

Social Media Outposts (in order of usage)
