As my dearest friends, loved ones, and clients will tell you, I suck at the phone. If you are dying to leave me a singing telegram, try (323) 843-4395. It’s a Google Voice number, and it is the future. But if you really want to get in touch, go with the email. I’m great with the email.
L.A.-local? Here’s how to meet me in person!
I spent a bunch of time in Seattle in the fall of 2008 and fell in love with an indie biz networking group called Biznik. They’ve done a terrific job of realizing their vision of a social media hub that supports an active real-life community of independent business folk.
I’ve taken an active role in getting the L.A. branch of Biznik off the ground. Along with the lovely and talented Donna Barger, I co-host a no-host (i.e. no charge, but you pay for food & beverages) meetup at Jerry’s Deli in the Marina once monthly, usually the second or third Wednesday of every month.

Except for Facebook and Google+, I’m “communicatrix” ubiquitously, meaning if you sign onto a service and want to connect with me, check that first. I do have policies on social media connection, and I think the world would be a saner place if everyone did.

- Here! (duh), where I post—well, irregularly of late. The occasional long-ish essay on Monday or Tuesday, or a video post (usually on a Wednesday), or, most often, a roundup of the best links I’ve posted elsewhere on Friday.
- communicatrix | focuses, a monthly, in-depth look at some aspect of buffing out your communication skills so you can get the word of you out there more efficiently. Back issues go up on this site, but there can be a 1 – 4 month lag, depending upon how busy I get, so if you want the content fresh, subscribe.
- LACasting.com, where I write a monthly column about marketing for actors, the content you can almost certainly apply to your own field of endeavor. The newsletter goes out to members, but you can read the issues here as I put them up.
