In the summer of 2011, as part of my 50-for-50 campaign, I conducted interviews with 50 women writers whom I admired. Some have written primarily for the old-school, offline world, some for the internet, most for both. A few of them don't consider themselves writers at all, but in my experience, that's a fairly standard writer's malady—especially among writers of the female persuasion.
